Penny Gattis has been championing songwriters for over a decade and brings her passion for the song to Eclipse Music where she leads Publishing as the division's General Manager.  In her role, Gattis oversees all of Eclipse's music publishing activities including the songwriting careers of its writers and artists.  Eclipse’s roster includes multi-platinum selling country songwriter and bluegrass artist Ronnie Bowman (IBMA Record of the Year, 3x IBMA Vocalist of the Year, Brooks & Dunn's #1 “Getting Better All the Time”, Kenny Chesney's #1 “Never Wanted Nothing More”, Chris Stapleton’s ACM song of the Year “Nobody to Blame”, four songs on Marcus King's 2021 Grammy-nominated record El Dorado); Jim McCormick (5x Grammy-nominated songwriter, Jason Aldean's #1 “Take a Little Ride”, Brantley Gilbert's three-week #1 “You Don't Know Her Like I Do”, Gabby Barrett's “The Good Ones”); Big Machine recording artist Payton Smith (2021 most-streamed Spotify Hot Country Song “Like I Knew You Would” and 2021 MusicRow Artist to Watch), and newcomer Nick Connors, an  emerging talent and Eclipse management client with a massive voice, a bright future, and 1 million YouTube views.

Previous to Eclipse Music, Gattis served as Senior Director, A&R at Round Hill Music.  While spearheading creative at Round Hill, Gattis was responsible for business development resulting in industry accolades including Billboard’s Top 10 Publisher and 40 Billboard Country #1 songs as well as numerous sync placements for the Nashville roster. 

 

Other positions held include BMI’s Writer/Publisher Relations where her innovation brought sync opportunities to the Nashville community including creating Sync THIS!, a film/tv event that brought music supervisors together with emerging chefs and artists.  Gattis also served as Creative Director for Hall of Fame songwriter Bob DiPiero’s Love Monkey Music and award-winning publisher Tom-Leis Music.  Gattis serves on the AIMP Award planning committee and is a member of ACM, AIMP, NARAS, CMA, and NMPA.
